OSHA 10

OSHA 30
This class is specifically designed for those who completed OSHA 10 in the past six months. This class will provide you with the additional 20 hours of classroom instruction required to upgrade to an OSHA 30 card. This class is only available to those participants that completed their OSHA 10 with John Brockenbrough as their instructor. You must attend all eight sessions to receive credit for the class. Class will be held from 4:00p.m - 7:00 p.m.

First Aid / CPR / AED
To obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross. All classes are 4:00-7:30 p.m. and runs two nights. You must attend both nights to receive credit for the class. The cost is $30.

1st Aid / CPR
We will be offering a First Aid/CPR class for interested JW's. There is a limit to the number of students for this class. The maximum students allowed is eight. You must attend all six hours to receive credit for the class. Please call the RJATC to register .

PLC Basics
This is a hands – on class in PLC basics for students with little or no experience in PLC’s. All classes are 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and runs every Wednesday for ten nights. You must attend all ten nights to receive credit for the class. The cost is $90.

Teaching Tools
This class is designed for anyone wanting to become an instructor for the JATC. It covers classroom management, use of technology in teaching, use of training aids and basic teaching principles. All classes are 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and runs every other Wednesday night for a total of eleven classes. You must attend all eleven nights to receive credit for the class. The cost is $50.

Instrumentation
This is a class on basic instrumentation control process for students with little or no instrumentation experience. The class will prepare students for the EPRI certification test which will be scheduled after the class completes. All classes are 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and runs for ten nights. You must attend all ten nights to receive credit for the class. The cost is $90.

(Anyone who previously failed the EPRI test is encouraged to attend the review night and then re – test.)
2005 NEC Code Update
This class is designed for Journeymen with an expiring state card. The class lasts three hours and you must attend all three hours to receive credit for the class. Beginning in February, it will be held every 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The cost is $90 for all non-IBEW members.
Master’s Exam Code Review
This course is designed to review the National Electrical Code (NEC) for the Master’s Exam. You will review recent changes in the NEC and code calculations. The goal will be to prepare the student to sit for the state Master’s Exam. All classes are 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will run every Monday for ten weeks. You must attend all ten nights to receive credit for the class. The cost is $45.

Built Rite recertification
This class is for those persons who have a current Built - Rite card. This class will allow those persons to keep their card current. The class will be held on September 8, 2010 from 4:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m.. You must attend all three hours to receive credit for the class. NFPA 70E
The Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
This class will focus on Electrical Safety in the 21st century. Emphasis will be placed on the necessity of changing our work habits and the standards currently in place to make the workplace safer. You must attend the entire session to receive full credit for the class you chose.
The JATC is holding another NFPA 70 E class. The class will be at the RJATC in Ashland on Wednesdays starting April 7, 2010.
