Linked is the NABTU synopsis of the HR 6201 that passed Congress and was signed recently. We have one contractor in the area that is probably over the 500 worker cap, there are several under 50 and the DOL has not yet weighed in on exactly what qualifies for exemptions. Additionally, anyone on furlough may not qualify for this aid, but there is still some debate on the issue.
As of this writing on 3/26, HR 748 has passed the Senate and is awaiting the House of Representatives to take up the bill, likely tomorrow. In it's current form is has significant help for working families in additional amounts for unemployment due to COVID related circumstances. There are also provisions for direct payments to households between now and the end of the year.
All of this is pending approval by the House and signature by the President. The bill could still be amended or changed for better or for worse.
As we have more news, we will pass it on.
Edit: Bill has passed and been signed, see link below for information from DOL
